The brief

Create an atmosphere for evening drinks and light dining for VIP guests, celebrating the museum's fifth anniversary and revealing the Bristol Fighter exhibition, within the power available from the museum's floor outlets.

Aerospace Bristol, a regular client, asked us to help with their fifth birthday celebrations: an evening of drinks and light dining for VIP guests, marking five years since the museum opened and revealing the new Bristol Fighter exhibition.

What we delivered

Creating deep blue washes with conventional lighting would normally mean a huge power draw and extra dimming and distribution. Our Chauvet Ovation F-915FC fresnels gave us high output and precise colour mixing while running from the in-floor power outlets around the museum.

Front light came from the F-915FCs. We then added ETC Source Four profiles fitted with breakup gobos, so the wooden structure of the aircraft appeared caught in a night scene. The event was also a good workout for our ChamSys MQ70 console.

"Thanks so much for all your support. Everything looked amazing, thank you!"
