Provide sound, lighting and power distribution for Shield Group's annual summer festival, starting at 11am the morning after racing, with a separate show the evening before on a different part of the course.
We were tasked with providing full sound, lighting and power distribution for Shield Group’s annual summer festival at Bath Racecourse.
The challenge
The event started at 11am, and with racing on the course the day before, the turnaround was tight. We were also providing a similar setup the evening before, only 100m further along the racecourse boundary. Our night crew packed down and redeployed the full system overnight, completing the move in just over four hours.
The show
The day opened with a high-end gospel choir, a good first outing for our new sE V7 microphones, and continued with dance performances and an Elton John tribute act.
