The Queen's Jubilee in Ilford
A full production package of staging, PA, lighting and power for a Jubilee celebration on a London high street that never sleeps, set up in two hours.
Supply a full production package, including staging, PA, lighting and power, for a day of local talent on a pedestrianised high street with round-the-clock activity and a very short set-up window.
Ilford has a thriving market and a pedestrianised high street, and as a Business Improvement District it is always looking for new ways to bring people into town and support local businesses. We were asked to supply a full production package for the Jubilee celebrations, including staging, PA, lighting and power.
The challenge
A busy London high street never sleeps, with activity around the clock. That left a very short window between arriving on site and the production going live. Using a trailer stage and rapid-deployment sound systems we completed the set-up within two hours, ready for a day of local talent: dancers, singers, a saxophonist and acoustic acts.
What we delivered
Eight Martin Audio W8LM with four WS218 subwoofers and four LE12J foldback wedges, all driven by Linea Research amplifiers and mixed on an Allen & Heath SQ5. Lighting was our Alu Hex pars, and the stage was a Stagemobil L.
"It was great to have everything set up in good time and being flexible with the visiting artists."
