Eats Everything DJs in hot air balloon from Bath to Bristol

When DJ Eats Everything planned a set in a hot air balloon, Loud Hire was there to ensure his music could be heard across the skies. We supplied the speakers and power, helping to turn a ride from Bath to Bristol into a sky-high concert.

As Dan Pearce played his heart out in celebration of his new single, our equipment worked flawlessly at altitude, providing clear sound in this unique setting.

The BBC article for the project can be viewed here.

“”I’ve played in many ridiculous places over the years, but I think I may just have outdone myself,” – Eats Everything

“I’ve been a fan of Eats Everything before I can remember, a true legend of the global dance music scene! To assist him in executing his vision was a real privilege.  ” – Tom Grey – Loud Hire

What we used and what we did?

Putting a system powerful enough to fill the streets of Bath full of sound from 500ft in a hot air balloon basket was no easy task.

With weight restrictions and no power onboard we had to fit Batteries, Inverters, Amplifiers, CDJ’s and speakers into the basket while still having space for the Pilot, co pilot and DJ Eats Everything!

The speaker system of choice was our Danley Sound Labs SM80 loudspeakers. This was the perfect match being lightweight and long throw. This was coupled with one of our Danley Sound Labs DNA amplifiers. The sound could be heard crystal clear at street level with many comments back to us leaving people confused as to how such a compact system on a balloon flying at 500ft could make so much noise with no distortion.
