Gloucester Tall Ships festival is a biannual event held at the historic Gloucester docks. For 2024 the organisers wanted to go bigger than ever before. The 3 day event was packed full of professional live folk and shanty bands as well as a DJ to fill in the gaps.
There where strict off stie noise restrictions with the nearest residence only 60m from the stage on a balcony above the shops.
Alongside our sister company Big Stage Hire we provided a full production package on a 10m x 6m outdoor stage.
For FOH we used our Danley J7 loudspeaker system with BC415 Subwoofers as well as for mixing an Allen And Heath SQ6 at FOH position and SQ7 on monitors.
Our Martin Audio LE100 wedges kept a smile on the artists faces throughout the day.
To overcome the offsite noise restrictions we where able to fly the speakers at height and angle down to ensure the sound energy was absorbed by the crowd rather than overshooting the site to nearby residence
