Wireless microphone hire

We have a range of wireless microphone transmitter and receiver options. With our Sennheiser EW-D radio systems are able to offer stunning quality and reliability no matter what the size of the production budget.

With theatre hire we have can couple the ew-d beltpack’s with 2 different options… For economy hire options we couple these with standard low profile theatre headset’s or for large productions we recommend upgrading to our Rode headmics.

For handheld wireless needs the handheld transmitters have interchangeable capsules/heads. As standard these come with Sennheiser MMD 835 capsules. Other capsule hire options include… SE Electronics V7 (MC1), Neumann KK 205 and Sennheiser MM 435’s.

We stock over 60 channels of wireless microphones both including Sennheiser EW-D, EW-DX (with dante) as well as IEM system.

As well as dry hire we can also include a set up option with basic training for technicians needing an introduction to our systems.

Battery options are totally up to the hire’r. Both handheld and beltpack transmitters require x2 AA batteries each. Over the course of a long show period this can get expensive so if you would like lithium ion rechargeable batteries please let us know and we can include these in your quote.

Our hire price per radio mic channel is…

£55+VAT – per week            £26+VAT – per day

This price includes ADU’s and a pair of Sennheiser ADP UHF Passive Directional Antenna’s for all the systems to run through.

Features and how we can help?

We have been supplying radio mic systems to production venues, theatre schools and event spaces around Bristol, Bath and Gloucestershire for over 10 years. In this time we have configured our systems and packages to make the equipment as seamless as it can be to deploy.

Pictured is the rear of one of our Sennheieser 8 way radio microphone receiver racks. On the right we have power link in/out. This allows for keeping cables nice and tidy and not requiring multiple racks to need lots of 13amp or 16amp extension leads plugged into one another. On from that we have RF in. This will plug into the Sennheiser Radio panel’s (these can be clamped onto the nearest railings/structure or mounted on mic stands.). Lastly we have the audio out. Unlike many other suppliers we find it time consuming, annoying and complicated to run individual XLR lines from the back of a mic rack to the mixer. We opt’ed for the multipin CEEP connector outputs. When these go out on hire they are accompanied with a 3m CEEP (multipin) to XLR loom. This allows you to take all the channels of one rack via one cable to the back of the mixer. From there each XLR is marked and numbered to the corresponding receiver. Finally these racks have sliding slam doors meaning no more case lids lying around the place ????

If you are unsure what package you need to hire or have experienced problems with radio microphones in the past, we are always happy to help come up with solutions. We can also help guide you through OFCOM licensing for the event.
